TWENDE BUTIAMA 2025 OFFICIAL LAUNCH
On July 2nd, 2025, the Twende Butiama Cycling Event was officially launched with a heartfelt blessing from Mama Maria Nyerere. In a special morning gathering, she joined cyclists to offer words of encouragement and prayers as they prepare to begin their historic journey from Dar es Salaam to Butiama.
This remarkable ride is held in honor of the legacy of Tanzania’s founding Father, the late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere, who dedicated his life to fighting against the enemies of ignorance, disease, and poverty.
